TODAY IN BUS HISTORY

1988 - Six people were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that they falsely claimed they were seriously injured in the July 27, 1988, accident when they weren't even on the bus at the time. In separate cases, a total of 28 people were charged with the same basic scam: saying they were injured in a bus accident when they were not on board.

SIRgeant Smith's Smodcast Network (The first 3 months)

It was nearly three months ago today...SIRgeant Smith hit the Net to play...

Well, after 112 layers in Photoshop and a week of tinkering the latest design at the Bus Stop attempts to bring (nearly) everyone involved with the Smodcast Internet Radio Network since the launch into an image parodying the iconic Beatles cover.

I was going to post a list of everybody edited into the picture but think I'll hold off for a few thinking it a bit more fun for visitors to see who they can spot. How many people (and things) can YOU recognize?

Just my way of saying thanks to Kev, Jay, Jen, Scott and all those involved in SIR for the seemingly endless array of top-notch entertainment.

The bus rolls on tomorrow, folks.

TODAY IN BUS HISTORY

1987 - The Dallas community suffered another catastrophe  when a church camp bus was swept away by the Guadalupe River. Ten children drowned, and 33 survivors again were responded to by members of the Texas Psychiatric Society. The small Baptist church in East Dallas sponsored its own libidinal cocoon to take care of its own members, excluding most professional caregivers because of religious concerns.
